Coronavirus: what happens next!

When you break down what’s included and compare to what other things cost (martial arts/dance classes/music lessons etc) it really doesn’t cause anyone any concern.

Maybe we should start a new thread about subs and how much we all charge? (I’m £8pm btw)

Once upon a time PAR to me meant ‘Post-Attack Reconnaissance’.

The Main Website has an update on… someone found and shared on Wing Facebook I knew nothing about this - https://www.raf.mod.uk/aircadets/the-hangar/coronavirus-covid-19/

Bit polite in The Met aren’t they?

Can’t get that to play, source link?

It worked for China… along with welding shut doors of high rises with people still inside…

Regarding SOVs what are squadrons doing? We’re looking at SORN’ing ours until we can get access to them again.

If it was me. I would leave it insured and taxed, just in case someone decides to break in and vandalise it etc. Not sure if the insurance would void it because it was untaxed, i would question that with your insurer first.

Yeah our tax is coming up. I’ll declare it SORN until we can use it.

Our unit is on an Army Reserve Centre with 24/7 MGS coverage and the vans are parked pretty far from the perimeter fences so I think we’re pretty safe from theft or vandalism but fair point.

I can see why you’d keep it insured, but what difference to vandalism would it being taxed make?

If they say in the terms and conditions that the vehicle should be taxed, then they could say the insurance was invalidated because it wasnt.

There was a caveat in my post to say to contact the insurance firm first to check as i wasnt 100% sure.

My insurance policy says it wont cover this:

any liability, loss, damage, cost or expense caused
if your car:
a) is not taxed

Ah, thankyou.

are you certain that’s for any claim and not in a specific section such as in the event of a collision or use abroad as examples?

No im not, hence why twice i have said contact the insurer first.

Always best to check with the insurer. They’ll do anything to try and weasel out of paying.
