Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have had to cancel AEF flying for the foreseeable future. XX members of 8AEF staff (pilots / ground crew, admin, doesn’t matter) were in contact with YYY (insert reason - family members, cadets, whatever) who have subsequently been tested / confirmed as having Covid-19 virus. As you can understand, the health of all concerned (but especially cadets) is of the greatest importance, so flying will only resume when it is considered safe to do so.

This. A little information makes a lot of difference. You don’t need to divulge who or where, but that little bit will make a huge difference to your audience. You could even have simply changed the line in the original message from “Sadly this weekend’s cadet flying is cancelled due to the risk of Coronavirus (Covid-19) transmission” to “Sadly this weekend’s cadet flying is cancelled due to a risk of Coronavirus (Covid-19) transmission”. Sorry if my interpretation of the message wasn’t accurate, but blame here must be with the message. Language is important.

If it was actually a mandate from 22Gp then OC 8AEF shouldn’t have been writing it at all and we shouldn’t be getting piecemeal information. OC 6FTS or somebody in HQAC Media (or IT!) should have put something out

According to the RAFAC instagram the Nijmegen team are still not decided but I don’t see how it will go ahead.
It’s a good few months away, they could readily wait a few weeks before deciding.

Just for your info.
Giving yourself a massive hard on by saying things like ‘certain information’ is NOT impressing anyone.
Furthermore. If you have said information, even by acknowledging you do, you are breaching part of your duties. As you open up speculation and provide information, in that there is information.
Grow up and shut up.
