Camp, Activity, Course and Event (CACE) Activity Process

Does Range Management Qualifications (all types) mean if you are using your RMQ?

I read that as a qualification course being run by a SATT :man_shrugging:

Not sure, the others said specifically “run by SATT”

I mean at least the Beta period is highlighting bugs that can be resolved.

The SAM will be beta tested between Apr and Aug 25, further refinement will take place from Sep to Dec 25, with full digital integration from Dec 25.

There is also this get out of jail line included as well

The RCs may determine if any activity can be authorised, including those not in the SAM but are otherwise detailed as MOD indemnified, and whether VA is awarded at acting or substantive rank.

I’m confused by this. The IBN says this IBN replaces previous policy. Implying this is now the policy to follow for all. But then says it’s a beta test?

A beta test is talking to 1 or 2 wings and testing it, refining it, then releasing it to everyone.

Assuming consistency in a document that lists ACPS twice, with different outcomes, would be a brave choice.

It’s a mandatory open beta.

So like the early days of Minecraft?

I suspect this is in case an activity looks likely to be cancelled due to a lack of CFAVs willing to do it either unremunerated, or at the substantive pay rates. (Having had to send exactly such an email myself last year - the outcome was the right one, but I did have to make the point…)

This IBN has just been updated with a new table.

Taken almost 3 months :joy:

Did you just happen to look at it or has there been comms somewhere?

Just happened to see it as I sat down for lunch.

If I’m reading that table right:

Gliding Training Solo and Dual Control
Must not
VA: no

Are the VGSs aware?

Actually this seems a lot clearer and some of the more obvious anomalies have been fixed.

But is that just for escorting staff?

Sigh, Nijmegen not elligible for VA… :man_facepalming:

Possibly for the VA, but what about the ‘Must not’?

So you’re expected to go babysit 10 teenagers, and look after their physical well-being during >160 Km of marching

but you can’t even claim 4 marching days for the 8 days you have to miss out on work?

And its not like there are 100s of staff trying to claim!!

The system from HQAC down is broken, a total disconnect from reality and life in general.

Max of what now 10 teams?

20 Marching staff doing VA claims, plus a handful of other support staff brings us to less than 30 I’d assume

Shocking really
