Lamb instead of turkey today…cause turkey is overrated
I’ve been to four Christmas dinners this year and managed to avoid Turkey at every one. My beef did inextricably come with sprouts yesterday though!
Meanwhilst, I’ve just dropped the Yorkshire puds in for our turkey… Go figure!
Yorkshire pudding goes with anything (sweet or savoury).
Absolutely, and it’s even possible to warm a supermarket one in a mess tin
Today was the first day we haven’t had a roast.
Had enough leftovers from our julbord yesterday for lunch. And then we had breakfast for dinner.
Ah but Turkey makes such a good sandwich

I asked my cadets what they were having on Christmas day… one told me swiftly that they were having beef as “turkey is BTEC chicken”
Get yourself on a catering course ASAP
We had the true British classic dominos! Mrs SS doesn’t eat roast and neither does the baby so I’m not cooking for me and the toddler when she’ll want something else so pepperoni passion it was!
My family hated it, as it was always dry when my mum cooked.
Them my wife cooked it, and couldnt get enough. It’s not the meat, its how its cooked.
It’s all about the prep. Brine it. For at least 24 hours. Boom.
And using a temp prove rather than just over cooking it!
May or may not have eaten a whole camembert for dinner and borderline cheese coma
Ah a classic Snackcident, I’m eyeing up the wheel of Brie at the moment.
Currently ordering a massive curry as its out last night in Scotland. But there lies a problem. Got a very long drive back down to Sussex tomorrow morning which is a bit of a risk following said curry, especially as we’ll have leftovers for breakfast!
Don’t think I’ll be getting anything too hot
What is this ‘too hot’ concept?
