…Future Accommodation Solution (tents)…
Although it make sense with the accommodation issues at cranwell the ATC has been gunning to take down this course for a fair while.
I love how for Nijmegen they want to explore how we effectively monitor core body temperature in children.
It’s easy, microchip them.
That’s the one that annoys me the most.
If Nij doesn’t get HQ support, I can see it dying
This made me laugh too!
Sadly, I agree. Not something I want to see, but it looks that way.
For 2024 all marchers will be fitted with a butt thermometer
Gutted at this, we send Cadets successfully every year and they bring back so much to the unit.
Shame. I thought it had a good blend of activities.
‘If we had a choice, RIAT would be gone, but the boss is making us’
Just because something doesn’t have a security marking (protective marking went out with GPMS in 2014) doesn’t mean it’s appropriate to share it on a public forum. Under GSC, all information is of value and should be stored and distributed appropriately. If people don’t have access, maybe they aren’t the intended audience?
I get that. But this was in an email, that was sent to every member of this organisation. Many of whom have no security clearance what so ever.
It’s ‘Official’ data, even if un-classified, as anything produced by us is classed as Official.
There is absolutely nothing to imply this data should not be shared. I would happily share it with my cadets, therefore I have no issue sharing it on here.
It will be posted on Facebook & Instagram memes in the next 24 hours & is releasable under FOI so no reason why it can’t be summarised & shared.
It would make a great script for management buzzword bingo
That thought crossed my mind too. But replace “buzzword” with something less flattering.
I agree, but the comments about other overseas road marching read fairly positively and as if they’re potentially looking to be able to support.
Same first two letters though?
Initialism: FAS
As opposed to the alternative Manually Mobilised Non-permanent Accommodation Product, or MM NAP. Or perhaps the Integrated Non-permanent Accommodation Product, or I NAP
They need to ideate beyond the scope of campfire scrum, mind map, idea blitz, corporate vernacular and realise that any overly verbose, grandiose, or convoluted terminology used will be satirised; for example:
Flooded and Soggy
Or
Flimsy and Sweaty
(Weather dependent)
Just say “Tent or similar product”. Tentkin, if you will.
