This whole game turning into a GMG post at this point
Watching English people get upset about the rugby… 🏴
What’s rugby?
something that brings back memories of being cold and wet on sunday mornings when I gave it a go when I was ~8, and then dreading the announcement it would be the activity in PE when I was in secondary school…
Although I did get Wing blues for rugby, out of loyalty to the Sqn / Wing more than anything else (struggling for number, so those who turned up were picked!) I spent a day at RAF Cosford not knowing what I was doing, and just running when I was told to run
I played for my school.
Once.
For 10 minutes.
I came on as blindside flanker.
I had to ask which side that is.
I now know a lot more, but haven’t played since!
whereas I think I know even less now than I did then. About the only thing I know is you get more points if you get the strange-shaped ball through the middle of the posts than either side of them. Everything else is a mystery
That description sounds more like American hand-egg
I think you need to reassess that knowledge
I’ve even been to an international friendly at the Millenium Stadium (on a stag weekend)…
I think I played for about six months, and I only went along with it for that long because it got me out of church early.
I enjoyed rugby in PE as I was able to take out the PE teacher I really disliked
Fair play to the guy for now admitting he made mistakes. Not that it would have changed the overall outcome. England need to work on their discipline. Having a poor record on discipline doesn’t help you soon the borderline calls
Boris being adamant the that the Brazil variant won’t affect the plans for lockdown easing.
The problem is that Boris being adamant about something not happening is as good as a guarantee that it will be.
I thought people were starting to relax a little too much already out of fatigue but a little bit of sunshine and the local kids play park when I drove past to do the shopping was so full there was hardly space for them to move and not a mask in sight.
The dates will hold as long as the number of people in hospital and dying keeps reducing.
Bottom line is it doesnt matter if those of us who arent at risk catch it, are ill and then recover. It’s for those who are at risk who catch it, block up the NHS and add a death to the stats.
I really dont want to catch it and am desperate for a vaccinne.
But I guess that if the vaccinne is working as well as they have shown and it minimises the disease. Even if it is rampant in circulation, the govt will still open everything back up. Even if just to get the economy going again.
Almost at the end of Season 1 and having had it pointed out have now seen that the Janitor doesn’t interact with anyone except JD in the whole first season.
That was a really interesting plot point they put in, incase the show flopped - the big reveal would have been that the janitor was a figment of JDs imagination.
Luckily it didn’t flop and the janitor (i love how most of his lines were ad-libbed) is easily one of the best characters - him and Ted!
Side note: Saw Ted and “The Worthless Peons” play live at Oceana Leeds many Manchester years ago
