You know what really makes me laugh?

Yes but AFAIK you were never Army

This use to happen with the L98A1 a lot.

I think it’s a damaged or not properly filled magazine so when the parts cycle it causes a flip on the round.

Similarly when you get three rounds all forced in to breech.

That’s quite clearly an obstruction, give it a good old shake…

I wondered what that dull thud was…
Bodies dropping all over.

Irish people online now referring to Connor McGreggor as “Andrew Tayto” and its made my day!

FR24 right now!

Almost as good as when the BBC did something similar with the UN Security Council

I’ve discovered why the RAF are short of uniform. Estonian troops have been stealing it.

Even down to the Mercian cap badge and rank slide!

That’s Prince William :eyes:

(Or is that your joke and I’m an idiot?)

I think it was the ‘Saluted Estonian’ troops bit …with the picture picture clearly showing RAF!

…It perhaps should have read ‘Saluted service personnel serving in Estonia’

Actually, I’d assumed Prince William was in his RAF uniform. Neither look to be Estonian anyhow.

Goes to show how redundant the ‘R’ in TRF is.

now you see i got confused watching the BBC News at 10 last night when this popped up

I presumed given his accent free English and British looking name it was a typo

While my Army insignia is not my strong point, a Google of the Royal Dragoon guards cap badge is different to the one shown being worn so could well be Estonian insignia.

perhaps he is out there on exchange, and wears the standard UK uniform, with a beret and cap badge change as part of incorporating into the Estonian forces?

[for those interested, the footage can be found here > BBC News at Ten - 20/03/2025 - BBC iPlayer at ~25 minutes in]

I suspect it’s an RDG battle group with elements of the Royal Lancers in it, as that’s the cap badge he’s wearing.

Either that or the BBC just got it wrong, which can’t be ruled out.

so the media apparently can’t recognise British troops, cap badges, or TRFs

despite all being publicly available
great

Why do you think the RAF have a special OG “RAF” patch for when they do MACA? It’s not for the fun of it but because Journalists are more interested in getting to the bar than about accuracy.
