You know what really makes me laugh?

Why? What have i missed?

i don’t think you have missed anything.

i am simply highlighting within a month of taking on the role he has impressed ACC and the general CFAV population - if that trend continues he’ll be deserving of a “continue and persist” letter as his good work will be welcomed!

No need to mention him twice.

I thought that was the car parking being banned thread?

Is this because he is not new to the organisation and knows who to sift out?

Announcement just gone out:

The ProtectUK app, currently used by RAFAC CFAV to stay informed about UK Threat Level changes, will be withdrawn on 6 December 2024 and will stop working completely on 31 December 2024. Please uninstall the app from your personal devices after this date.

The what? :grimacing: :grimacing: :joy:

Never heard of this app  Should I have?

The security advice is that at least one person on each Sqn should have the app available. Usually OC or security officer. If you’re neither of those, it’s not particularly relevant.

I’m neither of those (in RAFAC) and have it installed. I think it was recommended in the NaCTSO training.

The only time I think I have seen it featured or mentioned is specifically during the additional training module for unit security officers.

I don’t have the space to have extra apps on my phone. I have the bare minimum as it is and I’m always taking pics and videos off my phone with my external ‘ThingyMeBob’ and all pics and cadet videos get uploaded to the one drive so I don’t have anything like that on my phone.

This would explain why I’ve not heard of or before, as I’m neither an OC or SyO.

So slightly confused why the announcement now implies everyone need to register for the new thingy…

Peruvians have great hashtags.

My wife is ill, so morning routine is on me today.

Ask 3YO what he wants in his sandwich, he wanted Ham, Vegemite and Peanut Butter.

We compromised on Peanut Butter and Vegemite as I didn’t want to waste ham on such an abomination. (Although, I must be honest, I do wonder with some of his madder combinations whether he’s actually a culinary genius?)

I them ask him, after making his packed lunch what he wants for breakfast. He wants the sandwich. I say no, that’s for lunch and we argue about cereal options.

He then demands to know where the sandwich is, and runs into the kitchen to find it as he informs/reminds me that he’s not allowed nuts at pre-school because one of the kids is allergic.

Which is one way to win the ‘sandwich for breakfast’ for argument.

Did he also insist you add the ham to this breakfast sandwich

No, once they’re made, they’re pretty much locked in.

Then I just have to hope to God I cut it the right way. (Which is not an easy test, as he rapidly moves between triangles, squares, or just not cut at all.)

The comments (and apparent hate) on IG towards RAF Cosford Airshow’s latest reel advertising. Cosfords Social Media Team having fun replying to the old guard too.
