My colleague is a strong believer in the spirit world.
For the past few days, she’s had intermittent issues with the microwave and has believed that she’s been carrying bad spirits with her - especially as I can normally get it to work when she asks for help.
Today I looked inside the microwave (I don’t use it myself at all). It was flooded. Absolutely drenched. She’s been using it to heat up her frozen meals (prepped in advance) and has always had the door closed when it’s not in use.
So it’s not the sprits this time; it’s the not understanding science…

Same woman who said police should stop using dogs. I’m sure her motivation is spot on. Her judgement is perhaps a bit off sometimes. I suppose it’s all good publicity.

not specifically that story - but a Member of Parliament is stepping down from the cabinet for pleading guilty to making a false report yet in USA they elect a convicted criminal!

Stumbled upon a site “continueandpersist.org” who are offering to send Continue And Persist letters (in the US only, but they have a template letter for you to fill in and post yourself)
While these letters are wonderfully stupid, the sentiment behind them is great.
Every day, thousands of Cease and Desist letters are issued, telling people to stop what they’re doing (Looking at you, David Chang). What a bummer!
