You know what really makes me laugh?

Finally got the hang of minesweeper?

Not quite. Never been that good at it.

Looks like US JROTC with loads of medals

What does?

All the medals on the north Korean generals. Bit late to the conversation

Someone posted an ADS-B screenshot in a local Facebook group of a chinook flying over, with the simple comment “A bit of night vision training form Odiham”. The first comment has me cracking up:

Not sure if they’re taking the mick or not… I think not.

(Note we live no where near RAF Odiham, just happen to get low-flying chinooks a couple of times a month!')

What are they complaining about, I’d love to get low flying aircraft!

I am aware of many farmers complaining about wildlife deaths and even failed births of foals due to low flying helicopters out of Swynnerton once.

It’s amazing what people come up with.

I had terrible issues with birds at Swynnerton as a direct consequence of the helicopters. Yeah, wasn’t allowed to carry on shooting Clay Pidgeon while they were flying. 2 winged master race spoiling all our fun.

See that I can potentially understand. There’s a gist to it, scaring animals. But she’s complaining about the aviation fuel fumes making her breathing worse. And being able to smell it the next day. It’s insane

They fly over. You hear them coming for a minuet, over your head in 5 seconds, then gone! And as for the “Living under a warzone” comment. :man_facepalming: :man_facepalming: :man_facepalming:

She should try sleeping in tents at the end of Odihams runway the week before the Chinooks got deployed to Iraq. Now that did make for some noisy nights

I think they were more worried about us hitting the helicopters with the shotguns.

I bet she hasn’t lived there as long as there has been an airfield there. Chinooks arrived in 1980.

Where I live please send as many low flying RAF aircraft as you want. We do get regular approach and overshoots at Liverpool and down the River Mersey. No hubcap jokes please.

In 2014…? Never happened. And my medal that says so… Absolutely not.

I love the smell of Jet Fuel in the morning !

Douchebag neighbours who think they are better than everyone else have built a 2 story extension, in a national park, without planning permission.

They have been ordered to remove it at their own expense

My limited knowledge of Permitted Development suggests that was stupid of them…

New Forest take things very seriously…someone in the street got a 10k fine for removing a tree without permission.

Offer to remove it for them, as long as they cover the cost of a JDAM, AVTUR and a skip to remove the smoking remnants?
