Which legislation? Lol
Yeah, this needs more information
The oldest bit of legislation I’ve ever used is Section 35 of the Malicious Damages Act 1861. That was on Extinction Rebellion last time round. (The legal observer was a bit stunned as they hadn’t done their research, had to google it and then found out it was Indictable only with a maximum sentence of life in prison).
The Bill of Rights 1688. Specifically the bit about “levying money for or to the use of the Crowne (…) without Grant of Parlyament”.
The oldest I’ve ever had to use was the Ecclesiastical Licences Act 1533 which is a nightmare to read due to the spelling, language and lack of sentences.
Haven’t this govt been doing that a lot of late?
The realisation it’s a BH weekend!
Out of office on
Lucky you….This weekend is no longer a bank holiday in Scotland it’s been moved to St Andrews day

God damn Nats.
Scottish Nazi Party?
No, actually.
The St Andrew’s Day Bank Holiday (Scotland) Act 2007, passed by the Scottish Parliament on 29 November 2006, added St Andrew’s Day (30 November), or the following Monday should 30 November fall on a weekend.
this was when Labour & Lib Dems were in coalition government in Scotland.
It was brought in originally as an option for employers to give it as an extra holiday, then in the last few years it has changed over to replace this august bank holiday.
When it swapped from being optional to fixed it was also moved from the Monday closest to the day itself. This year it’s a Tuesday
Making me happy?
The fantastic charity which is the RNLI and their beach life guard teams.
2 of our group got Weever fish stings today and they were incredible in both cases. Lots of reassurance, fantastic treatment and took the time with each patient - despite dealing with 8 Weever others with similar issues!
