What an ace day for a coached white water SUP session. 1.5hrs of warm water and paddling in shorts and rash vest.
Also managed 4/5 goes through the inlet wave at HPP standing up! Very successful day and feel like my skills have definitely moved on a tad.
Finally double jabbed, one step from actually l getting back to some normality, just a stem cell transplant in Oct then I come out and play again
I appear to have acclimatised a little today, I managed two full tip runs! Meaning for the first time in months, there is no pile of rubbish waiting to be taken to the tip!
2!!! Our local council only allows 1 per week per household
Bloke didnât recognise me the second time and I was back within 30mins, he looked a bit hot tbf.
We get 20 visits a year which must be pre-booked two working days in advance. They have number plate recognition on the gate and if you show up a minute before or after your half hour slot they wonât open for you
Ours is pretty basic. Only rule at the moment is you have to have the right licence plate. They alternate between odd and even numbers. Which is fine, because my car is odd, but my wifeâs is even.
This really grates, I think you could visit twice in the same 30 mins, but I live to far away to arrive at the start, unload, drive home, reload and then drive back.
Our DIY project generated 3 trips worth of stuff, that then took 3 weeks to dispose of + being able to book when I had access to the car & the time to do it. While there were 3 slots available on the same day that I could have used.
I do like the slot booking tbh though, saves the crazy queue you get on the good gardening days
Yeah itâs a good system just too restricted. Luckily new bathroom next week which = a skip to utilise to clear the back log of rubbish I have
