I preferred Meccano and Technic to standard Lego when I was younger.

I never really got on with Meccano but I can see its appeal in education and for us.
Lego is great but you can’t bend and shape the parts. And it’s more and more focused on building a specific model which then sits on a shelf. The old Technics kits had a dozen or so designs you could build.
Also a miniature MTa kit that can be done on a table top by 3-4 cadets would be great!
Without costing thousands!
I saw a table top civil engineering kit at a university open day, proper scaled components with tolerances etc. would have been amazing for us.
