Phases 3, 4 & 5 of the garage loft space → mini-gym area have been successful.
Phase 3 = Window installed on end wall, makes a huge difference.
Phase 4 = Running machine (weighed 100 kg in the box!) lift up with help of son’s muscle power, put together & functional.
Phase 5 = I’ve just put together the safety barrier by the loft hatch & bolted it to the floor. All parts painted separately - tubing sourced locally at a hardware outlet - could have done with a slightly larger tin of spray paint though. The width is perfect for handholds going up / down the ladder.
Need to source a good cross-trainer (the bigger the flywheel the better - this one looks pretty good), & her ladyship wants mirrors up - slightly uneven breezeblock walling on the insider so will have to place some ply on battens first!

Volunteers recognised in King’s Birthday Honours
Very pleased to see that Sqn Ldr G Hughes has been awarded an MBE - he has been a stalwart within HIOW and goes well beyond a “standard” volunteer in my opinion.
Also to highlight how well Essex Wing has done with 2 x AOC 22 Group Commendations, they must have someone who is good at writing citations (or just submitting them)

i got sucked into the Ascot vibe and signed up to SkyBet with a £30 free reward when depositing £5…
placed the £30 free rewards bets (they arrive as 3x £10 rewards) on three horses - won £110 back off two of those bets!
