Going for a long walk with a nice meal on Saturday and a slightly shorter walk with a Tesco Meal deal on Sunday.
Tonight, I decided was improvised sailing night at unit.
We took four of the canoes, lashed them up in a diamond and I got the first chance to use my raft sailing kit since my Canoe Leader course last November. I only had one canoe pole, but, found an excellent stand in mast: a literal mast.
We took to the harbour and sailed down to the SS Great Britain, then got a tow from one of the powerboats half way back, had another crack at sailing, then paddles half way home before the safety RIB towed us home.
Splendid parade evening. So glad I transferred.

You can do all that without 4 weeks notice and many hours of paperwork?!
Yep. Every week, I canoe. All on one set of paperwork the OC self approved.

It helps that the waterfront is the edge of our parade ground.
Sounds far too risky. Couldn’t have Air Cadets marking next to a puddle.
Got to love London sometimes. Get off the train, very hot and very parched. Walk into the station to go to the underground and there’s people handing out ice cold cans of pre-mixed drinks!
Not my go to choice mind, but hit the spot!
