I did the same with my postgraduate BVC loan. Got an inheritance worth pretty much the exact balance hit my account the day repayments started. I hated that National League West bank.

Mine was the Hong Kong and Shanghai. Only bank offering them, out of one branch, through one guy. Absolute nightmare to deal with
Making me happy today: ordering clothes online thinking your lockdown fitness and weight loss efforts arenāt amounting to much only to have to return them as usual size is too big.

Just paid more than a few pennies for a new bang stick. 
My ma died last year, & the plan was to treat myself to something as a small momento - I had a nice watch in mind (Bell & Ross or similar). Much to my surprise, my darling wife suggested that I combine a momento with my hobby - couldnāt really wear a watch to work (too much risk of damage - broken a couple of watches this way), & then she suggested a new rifle!
When I picked myself off the floor, & explained that this would be more expensive, I still had permission.
Fingers crossed, & no changes to Covid tiers, good to collect this week.

Check her bank statements. Sheās clearly bought a very expensive handbag and is getting guilty feelings!
Went for a walk around our town yesterday evening and using these Star Walk 2 app (free version), identified that what I had always just thought was a bright star was actually Mars (assuming the app is correct).
I really struggle to see the shapes in the stars to work out the constellations, so Iām hoping this may help.
Unfortunately my boyfriend kept panicking when Iād stop and point my phone up and around as he was worrying that people would see and think we are dodgy walking around at night with our phones recording or something as if we are scouting out the place to case it.
Also remembered I like dried mango, the downside is I have already demolished a good chunk of the 500g pack I got at weekend. Iāve had to put it in the chocolate cupboard which has a bungee wrapped around the handles to make us go to a bit extra effort to get into it!

Well, she has bought a very nice ring, but there is a big gap in value - even more so as she was the driving force for me to also go for a new (made to measure) shooting jacket! 
Her birthday is next weekā¦ 
A poignant day (first anniversary of my maās passing) but despite the honking rain, smiling for a lot of my long drive home.
For the purists, bolt was in to check the action / trigger, then taken out.

I recall an occasion when we had to check the trigger mechanism on a blank firing GPMG. We werenāt allowed to fire it. But we were allowed to check the mechanism. Repeatedlyā¦

I wish! Currently on a training contract in one of the professions which already seems harder than the Masterās
Iād love to go back and do a PhD one day, but figure the financial implications might make it impossible, weāll see.
What makes me happy -
Being told Iāll be receiving the covid vaccine next week. Iāve been lucky to escape so farā¦ I hope.
This week alone Iāve been the only nurse on duty in my community team as the others have covid! Been a busy one indeed.

Holy Mother of God! Why didnāt these guys make the sequels, they should just pretend Episode 7-9 didnāt happen and give Jon Favreau a blank cheque.

I loved the episode with Ahsoka, but felt the finale wasnāt as good as it could be. The chase sequence at the start with the noise of Slave 1ās guns and the reveal at the end did make the hairs on my neck stand up though.

As long as the upcoming shows maintain the high standard, I think the Book of Boba Fett and Rogue Squadron are the things Iām looking forward to most in the upcoming shows.
