In for my booster now. Pretty impressed with my GP. They texted last night offering slots today and tomorrow. Replied saying yes and got booked in! Nice and efficient.

Joined in my local Park Run 5km for the first time!

What an incredible bunch of friendly people! Especially for 9am on Christmas Morning about to run 5km in the rain

I had two swims today. First was just being cocky. Second was a surprisingly large feature on an otherwise sedate grade 2.
I swam, grabbed the swim line, and was strung out between the throw line holding me to the bank and the swim by line holding the canoe, shouting for someone to vector me in before my armspan increased by a few feet.

I actually had 2 too. I survived a pretty chunky grade 3, but got into a pretty unstable eddy at the bottom of it. I capsized when I was breaking in, but rolled - back into the same eddy. My next attempt at breaking in also capsized me but against a pretty large rock face, which I decided I didnā€™t want to argue with. My second swim was definitely someone elseā€™s fault - he overtook me on a wave train and cut across me so I didnā€™t see a massive rockā€¦ As my head bounced off rocks I decided Iā€™d rather swim than try a roll :grimacing:
