I don’t actually mind New Captain Scarlet. It does look a bit dated nowadays but it’s an interesting watch.

This is game-changing information for me…

@AlexCorbin the thin edge of the wedge with Thunderbirds was when they started removing scenes where the characters were smoking, ignoring the fact it was made in the 60s. I’ve got my 40th Anniversary DVD set, so I can watch the proper ones all the time. Attack of the Alligators - loved it as a child and still do.

@Giminion new won’t mean good or better, look at the new so called Thunderbirds. I lasted 2 minutes during the RWC when it was on prior to a game. I saw Thunderbirds, thought great, not so…

That’s the name of it. It’s actually 14 years old.

I would hardly call it new… 2004.
Gerry Anderson was still alive and produced it.
It’s not too bad, actually maintains the integrity of the original show. But the modern fast paced nature of tv, precludes effective story telling.
A couple of the episodes are up there with the originals though.

Now as for Thunderbirds Are Go (TAG) what the literal have they done to my favourite tv show… why do we need a Thunderbird Shadow, where the heck is Jeff and why do the Tracey brothers not use their guns anymore.

ā€œIts Thunderbirds Jim, but not as we know itā€

Yes I’m a geek + Nerd.
So sue me.

Now tell us your thoughts on the movie.

The Jonathan Frakes abortion I assume.you mean? Giving it, its correct title.

Oh no, I didn’t know he did it. I thought I liked Frakes.

…Not as we know it, not as we know it. It’s Thunderbirds Jim, but not as we know it, not as we know it Jim?

After my drive home this afternoon (and changing tack slightly): people dawdling in a lane of the motorway other than the left lane when there is nothing in front of them.

You mean, it isn’t every time you venture onto a motorway?

Well yes, but Friday afternoon on the M40 always seems that little bit worse.

Why not just pass them, if there is room, on the inside lane(s).

I do. At 70.
