You know what really grinds my gears? The Gears Strike Back

Changes to ACP20, including the “disestablishment” of registered civ com, not being announced.

To be fair an IBN summarising changes is probably inbound.

Although it does say we should still ensure Record of Service books under the enrolment ceremony are still issued.

It also still says SNCO (ATC) in a lot of places, among other outdated bits.

Missed my train because the parking meter was messing up and wasted about 15 minuets sorting out parking :upside_down_face:

That’s less than ideal…

Have you considered simply getting good?

It gave me time to get a couple of train beers, so it’s not all bad I suppose!

No better beer.

I’ve done some force development days in London following the memorial walks.

Train from Odiham at about 0800.

We were absolutely gone before we got to HMS Belfast. That’s some good train beers.

I’m going out for a meal once I get into London, so I preferably need to still be standing once I arrive

Nah. That’s over rated. Anywhere nice for the meal?

A BYOB curry house with a rather large group of us. Things might get messy later!

Some good cocktail bars near monument if that’s where you are headed…

When the swedish team put in a meeting at 0730 their time over the weekend, luckily i had a spidey sense to check my diary just before going to bed at 1am.

Need a nap.

GMG - people trying to flog BP on a cadet sales site. This is the second post I’ve seen in about a month. Last post was someone flogging Osprey, after saying it was completely unsuited to him in the ACF…

Left my laptop charger at work and have no battery left. There goes my productivity this evening

I have been known to give up going to a favourite cafe for this very reason

I haven’t seen this, but I have had my first, non-ironic, “Merry Christmas” of the year this week. I genuinely won’t speak to the person until the new year but I think that is the earliest I’ve ever had!

There’s a sizable chunk of the population who like to buy and plan for Christmas very early on. Mince pies in the freezer, celebrations in the cupboard, etc. With the CoL crisis looming large as well, most retailers expect more people to think like this and spread the cost over the next few months, so Christmas is definitely getting earlier this year.

Retailer I work for started stocking some Christmas goods 2 weeks ago. Already sold over £100ks worth of mince pies.
