You know what really grinds my gears? The Gears Strike Back

Aaaaaand SMS has died again. RIP.

Yeah, same as last time.

So not just me then :man_facepalming:t2:

Hayfever. Its so bad this year for some reason

Seeing one petrol station charge more for unleaded than diesel :scream:

I think it’s just their diesel is ‘relatively cheap’. We’re almost hitting £1.90 down here!!

Going to be £2.00 a litte for both by Summer.

Over winter depending on how bad world affairs get… could push even higher.

Plus side…
Roads will be empty.

Interesting fact i didnt jnow until yeaterday.

Ireland.
Doesnt have any refining capability…

Its all imported.

Theres some scope right there for HMRC to offset some costs!

Love having to do a LFT whilst on hols

You should try running a car on E5 petrol, a year ago it was cheapest thing on the forecourt, now as there is only Superwhatever that is E5 then it is most expensive > except perhaps SuperDiesel which when you don’t have enough to go anywhere else and that is all the station have costs same as unicorn urine.

I know the pain, I run my bikes and cars on E5, I used to only run on premium with zero ethanol content but I also noticed they just made E5 the premium on the switch which was annoying.

On testing a supermarket fuel Vs premium I used to get 15 -25% more mpg depending on supermarket tried so from my experience the extra few pence per litre paid for itself

So now there’s this:

Great. And here we are still only getting 25ppm! And still having 6 miles taken off the round trip for HTD…

I just had a staff member cancel their business insurance in protest at the current rate. The net difference made economic sense to them and now they won’t transport cadets until it goes up.

They will still help at Sqn & local activities but not transport cadets.

I know of two members of staff who’s insurance company says (in writing) that they are adequately insured for carrying cadets and HTD and do not need business class insurance.

Mines like that. I have business for the odd with thing, but only 1000 miles. I do way more than that with cadets so that is purely work stuff.

Get them to church this list to set if their insurer is on it. https://www.abi.org.uk/globalassets/files/publications/public/motor/2021/abi-guide-to-volunteer-driving---the-motor-insurance-commitment-2021.pdf

I’m with admiral, so I don’t even have to tell them, it’s automatically included!

Disclaimer: this is only valid for CIs. Uniform CFAVs are often different as your get paid remuneration, which is above ‘normal expenses’.

Does this mean i dont need to specify ‘additional’ business mileage?
