You know what really grinds my gears? The Gears Strike Back

That’s not true.

Not all of it.

There is a legal curfew from 23:00-07:00 except on Bonfire Night when it’s 00:00-07:00 and New Year, Diwali and Chinese New Year when it’s 01:00-07:00

Yes, but as there being set off every night after 11pm they would of had to of broke the curfew one night, as not every night is them.

I’ve only been back in the office a week and I’ve already returned to my hatred of all other commuters. But especially those who wait until they are in the barrier to look for their oyster card rather than use the long journey up the escalators to get it ready.

Same here, especially with people on the bus who still buy the ticket on the bus rather than on a phone and just scan it. Especially teens who definitely have a phone and know how to use it.

Gmg… Engine warning light has come on. May be the death of the Insignia. :frowning:

Maybe they like living for the moment and being spontaneous and not arranging their lives down to a bus trip. Being spontaneous is something we are losing, it does make for a duller world.

I had this on my old car and it was some valve that was of no consequence on a petrol motor, but would cost to replace. I never did and drove quite happily for 6 or so years and passed MOTs no problem… My mechanic mate said unless it sends you into limp home mode, you’re invariably OK. If you have a friendly mechanic who can check it without charging anymore than a fiver, give them a spin.

Think it’s a battery charging system fault… So a battery dieing or alternator issue

You can buy a bluetooth OBD2 scanner for a couple of pounds on eBay, and use a free app like “torque” to pull up the error codes if you don’t want to pay full whack for diagnostics.

Ahh good shout ill have a nosey… Cars 10 years old and approaching 150k on the clock so if its too much it’ll be bye bye

So ACTO 150 has been updated, the amendment notes indicate Paras 3.13 - 3.17 amended, this is what they have done.

Isn’t the IBN supposed to be temporary and then merged into the overarching policy document, they couldn’t even be bothered to include a link to the IBN so you’d have to go hunting.

Students - Went to visit Miss Crazy at her uni accom after work to deliver a printer. Shes been complaining about the bins being full and not able to get rid of rubbish or anywhere for recycling. 5 minutes after arrival a quick compression of rubbish in the wheelie bins and the full recycling box removed from the 2 empty boxes that were piled together and the rubbish is gone.

Is there some sort of conditioning to remove all sense and everything you learned at home during freshers week :man_shrugging:

Alcohol. All logic is gone…

As a photographer, seeing so many events/courses taking place at a county, brigade and national level without anyone to take any photos of the event bar a random CFAV with a smartphone. It is very rare that I actually get invited to anything and organisers rarely actually think about it, yet when I invite myself they are always like “great photos” etc.

Absolutely. It is virtually impossible to take photos - let alone decent ones - when running a Cadet activity. Yet having decent photos is more important than ever.

People seem to over think photographs at events and try to get something that fits a narrative (primarily inclusivity/diversity) now., as opposed to a spontaneous snap that captures the moment, regardless. People seem to like to stage photos. I personally like ones where they are unaware they are being photographed, so no false smiles or concentration, just people being people. There is a time and place for staged photos, but not many.
