If you got a registration number or fleet number and a time, email the company and ask them for a claim form.
If they are a big haulier then they will put up a little bit of fuss but will still pay out to keep you quiet.
Honestly cant count the amount of times we have had fraudulent claims put through that we simply pay as it isnt worth the hassle to fight them.
I know little of civil claims, beyond the fact that if your friendly neighbourhood claims handler offers you a vehicle on credit hire, and the other side offers to pay for your hire car for you, take their offer. Credit hire is a nightmare.
Whats your company name
Purely for research purposes
I thankfully work for a medium sized family firm now, we are more likely to send the heavies round than pay money out.
Pick any of the big boys and you won’t go wrong
Cheers for the comments all. Spoken to insurance and it’ll cost £115 for a new screen with no affect on my no claims! Happy days I guess.
Now time to start a debate with the lorry company that it fell off of.
tell-tale signature of a LaSER resident right there
The local council have removed my post from their social media page … ooops

Why no electric and auto renew!
Our process keeps some civil servants in jobs.
Not sure if renewal is easier if you register for the update service online, its free for volunteers but not had it for 3 years yet to know whether it’s a full renewal or the process. Hopefully the office the manual ones go through should be closed by my renewal and it will be electronic
Ha i got mine in the post last week to fill in, just actually opened it today to do.
I don’t know how the electronic one works but I’ll look into it.
A full electronic one requests all the same information then you need to visit the sponsor with your ID. A person with the required training then verifies they have seen the ID in the portal and the check runs from there.
Make sure you keep a note of the reference number on the form as it allows you to track it. You can also find Police force performance so you have an idea of the lead times as the police part tends to be the longest part. Remember if you have lived in more than one police force area then it will be passed between them delaying things further.
Spending time trying to add new cadets to SMS and getting nowhere
GMG… Dulux brilliant white emulsion… Its like painting with water. Going to need several coats!
I wholeheartedly concur, though as I washed the ceiling with sugar soap and again with water afterwards before painting it appears as though one coat will be sufficient.
Let’s see in the cold light of day
GMG - decorating.
I reckon I might need 4 coats to hide the awful lime green and plaster work I’ve had to do
Just watched the film Tenet. The gears in my brain have been blown.
Must admit i was a bit underwhelmed by it.
All the reviews raved about how it was so deep and complex.
I thought it pretty easy to follow. They really spoon fed a lot of the plot.
Good film. But not as complex as they made out.
