I’m more interested in anyone throwing their toys out the pram about it on social media

It’s certainly entertaining :joy:

What have I missed? Who’s throwing their toys?

Links or it never happened

I’ve only seen one angry face on Facebook from a RAF WO. But I’m looking out for more. They surely can’t make this change and not have someone throwing their toys out the pram

To be fair they’ll have to get over it… The army have for a million years now

To be honest and call me petty buy I’m still apprehensive going on camp as a 31 Year old warrant officer with new ensignia next summer and what the reaction will be amongst the regs … Although Im fairly confident the way to over come it is to simply not be an idiot

Nail, head!

There are only around 600 WOs in the corps anyway. It’s still fairly special. Even more so if they raise the bar.

Dont delude yourself… you think camps will be on in 2021?

Central Camp planning is happening now and it is contingent on MOD allowing cadet forces on establishments… cant see it happening.
I would forget traditional camps until 2022 at earliest.

Ah, facebook… I was looking at Donna’s Instagram post.

I remember meeting a very grumpy WO in the lunch queue at Cosford once when I was a FS.

"Is that an RAF stable belt you’re wearing?
“Yes, it is Sir.”
“Uhhh. It’s interesting that they let you wear that when you’re not actually RAF!..”
“Mmm. [Take it up with Air Command then you grumpy old git… I don’t write the dress regs]”.

He was most put out when he came to breakfast the next morning to discover that all his mates had sat with us and we were all having a great chat.

The moral of the story? Ignore the few miserable gits out there and continue the good relations with those who aren’t.

Should have mentioned that cadets can also wear them

These are the only interactions I’ve had with regulars, all positive.

At my OIC, we were having drinks with some regs and it blew their mind we did this for free.

It’s a case of just being polite and as said above, not an idiot.

How would they react when TRF is changed to RAF :neutral_face::neutral_face: #StiringIt

How will the tell the difference between RAF and RAFAC when we are in the field without weapons, body armour, or green vehicles?

Gold or yellow? What’s correct? I’m unsure

Where did you get the two different sets from?

This is a pic from 2019 former RWO
