Which polish is the best for parade shoes

My parade shoes have been in the works for a few months and I have tried cherry blossom polish and kiwi polish and neither seem to be working on my grafters, does anyone know which polish I should use to make them perfect?

Kiwi or saphir pate de luxe with a damp sylvette cloth can result in this

Are those actual leather Oxfords or the pleather knock offs that get issued?

They’ll be good when they’re finished! :smiling_imp:

Theyll do me

Samuel windsor oxfords, which i find better than issue ones at a third of the price.

Perfect thank you!

I’ve just persuaded one of the officers I work with to buy some Loake Oxfords. Unfortunately, I have to wait until after my next promotion before I have the option to wear non-issue shoes.

Loakes are a solid choice. If it was my day job thats what id choose

Would we get away with something like these?

What do people think about the “fancy shoes” issued alongside oxfords for officers? Mine have stayed in their box since I got them, I cant really be bothered to polish two sets of shoes…

Same. I was told they’re meant to be for No1s. Which I don’t have. A pair of boots would be far more useful.

Do you mean the patent leather shoes without a toecap? If so, they’re for your No. 5s.

I think they would be a private purchase wouldn’t they. I was issued with one pair of DMS Shoes and one pair of Oxford pattern shoes albeit about 100 years ago.

No. 5s are now issued to newly promoted SNCOs and (presumably) officers, with onward modifications, repairs, replacement, etc, at personal expense.

Wow. Where did the funding come for that? Surely No1 HSD would be better than mess dress.

That’s for the regulars though.

Not RAFAC then?

Nope!

Only to those who come off the PSL.
You can be acting, having to pay mess fees and not be entitled.
