Personally, I like the concept of a leather jacket. I just think that that shade of blue doesn’t look very nice. A bit like the PCS blues.

According to my CinC, men can only see 1/6 of the colours that women can see and it is blue slate…
I suppose there must have been many who were terribly upset when lowly GROUND people were permitted to wear a flying jacket…
I knew a chap once who griped that I was wearing a Mk 6 jacket (the plain old green ones) over my civies one evening on an event. He didn’t like it because I “hadn’t served on a VGS.”
The fact that I’d owned the jacket since my days as a civie glider pilot and that it was frankly, nothing more than warm, unbadged, green jacket didn’t seem to quell his anger.
As you can imagine, I treated his concerns with the respect they deserved and roundly ignored him.
