New Season of Black Mirror was released earlier last week - found time to watch the first episode, always enjoy watching how close we are to a dystopian society
I’ve just finished the new season. Love how two of the episodes are sequels to previous stories. Is it just me, or does the last one feel like a finale?
Last one laughing uk
Big brother but it comedians & only last six hours.
I dont think ive ever laughed as hard watching it.
Joe Wilkinson is a hero in it
Yes, was brilliant and I haven’t laughed so much in ages. Don’t know how they can better it for series 2, considering who they had in.
Daisy May Cooper though, she scares me. And she could effortlessly win a gurning contest with the faces she was pulling!
Alex He was really really good, as was the guy who played the Phil Lynott character, Max George, in fact all of the singers apart from Charlie Simpson who sung the journalist part, he looked awkward, he could sing as he did a couple of good bits but on the whole looked and sounded like he CBA - he didn’t get much appreciation from the audience at the end.
This is something I always bring up when teaching First Class basic nav. There’s the section around different types of north. This is a good example of magnetic north moving around.
Watched doctor who which was good
But followed by blankety blank which is just bonkers & hilarious & just creasing me up
How the hell did they away with all that pre watershed
Finally got around to watching Conclave last night.
Enjoyed it, but I’m left with a feeling that the writers didn’t really know what to do with the film. There’s many unanswered questions at the end, and the twist was a little bit meh to be honest.
Overall a fair message to take from the movie, but I don’t think it’s going to become a cult hit.
Nothing. Listening to BBC Radio 2 loves brass! The concert.
Mobland on Paramount…so so so so so good
Not Cadet Under 18 friendly though
10 hours in and 11ish to go. Taking the advantage of the bank holiday to sleep through tomorrow by watching the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings (extended editions obviously) back to back. The Hobbit movies were fun but Lord of the Rings are my favourite of the two trilogies.
Rewatching Andor in preparation for the 2nd series, god I forgot how good the prison arc was.
Rewatching Sherlock.
Can’t help but notice in S1E3 that Dr Watson, someone who is shown to be part of RAMC in S1E1, goes to see Mycroft wearing a RAF tie. I can’t recall RAF service being shown at any other time in the seasons.
This has been on my to do list for far too long.
Might do it after i finish Ghosts
I thought it was a good touch acknowledging how in the modern army he’d be RAMC (well, RAMS now, but that happened after) whereas in the newer podcast he keeps saying he was in the Northumberland Fusiliers (a regiment that hasn’t existed since the 1960s and wouldn’t have employed its own doctors since the 19th century).
I guess that in my head canon he was RAMC attached to a Fifth Fusiliers battle group (although that still doesn’t explain the post-1960s use of the ‘Northumberland’ title).
It’s almost like it’s not a very accurate documentary…
