Speaking bout late to the party currently pottering through No Mans Sky. Love the exploration aspect but it can be a bit too open.
An afternoon of Pandemic Legacy Season 2 for us this afternoon, 1 failure & 2 successes.
Good to get it back to the table as we didn’t enjoy it initially a few years ago.
Better to be late to that one considering the issues it had!
Just downloaded the new orbital update & it looks amazing. Looks likes the games doing good now days
£15.99 on Steam.
But, er, you should keep track of gamesbible and accounts such as free steam games:
Doom is also back to £15.99 now…
(edit) HOWEVER:
Helldivers 2. So much Managed Democracy.
It’s a lot of fun and the devs have put a lot of effort into a lot of small things. My only problems with it so far have been explosions making collision go all wonky and sometimes needing to die and reinforce to fix. If you like a good shooter, especially coop ones then give this a try.
It is good, some of the planet things like fire tornadoes really annoy me, just pointless time wasting.
it is good fun,
Agreed on the fire tornado’s, they are pointless and don’t add any real value. Similar to the meteor storms, but they seem to have stopped now
Yes I fully agree on the fire tornados. After dying so many times to them on Menkent I have started to avoid them. Especially as we can’t even use fire ourselves due to this bug about hosting.
I haven’t found the Meteor Swarms too bad so far but haven’t done that many missions on Fenrir 3 so it remains to be seen.
Got in from work and played about 6 hours or Civ VI. Not had a proper play though in ages, but suddenly decided I wanted a challenge. Forgot how easy it is to get completely absorbed by that game!
Bonus bit is it means my bedroom is slightly warmer than normal from all the heat my PC was kicking out Albeit 16C rather than the 12C it would normally be when it’s this cold outside!
This thread doesn’t get enough use!
So not playing currently, but I’ve been making a plan. I have a lot of random CS:GO stuff on Steam from when I played it years ago. Turns out it’s worth something now. Arguably done better in terms of value increase than my cash savings! Lots of things that were worth 5p now worth £1 etc etc. It also turns out you can buy a Steam Deck with your Steam wallet funds.
So now selling everything in there on the market and hopefully should make enough to buy a Steam Deck!
Looking forward to getting the Switch 2 and playing classic Nintendo with the kid.
Also finally getting him into board games. So much winning!
Personally I’d recommend ghost recon breakpoint, or Wildlands,
Got AC Shadows last week. If you like Assassins Creed you’ll like it!
As I can only really play for like an hour or two in the evenings once the kids are in bed, may take me a while to finish!
This thing is great. Highly recommend!
Now when I wake up an hour before by alarms, instead of doomscrolling an hour or reels, I can play an hour or City Skylines instead, which feels better for the brain
I’ve audi started a fresh Stardew Valley play though, such is always nice.
I’ve been torn between buying one of these or upgrading my personal PC. The issue I’m faced with is that I don’t really need an upgrade… I just want one
What are you running, what do you play, how much use would you get from a handheld?
Threadripper 1950X, 64gb RAM and a 2080ti.
I have almost 3k hours in DayZ.
But I travel to and from Spain every couple of months to visit my parents so it would be handy for games on the go.
