All Officers, and Civilian Instructors are to be addressed as ‘Sir or Ma’am’. Cadet Warrant Officers are to be addressed as ‘Warrant Officer’ and all other cadets by their rank, ‘Flight Sergeant’, ‘Sergeant’ or ‘Corporal’, as the case may be.
Not so keen on ‘Flight Sergeant’ when everyone outside of the ATC (including Army and RN) just says ‘Flight’.
Only the same as “colour” though.
I suppose everyone could say “warrant”. Better than “cadet warrant”!
Warrant is what we said when I was a cadet, but then I went over to the ACF where cadets called the Cdt Sgt Maj ‘sir’ and we called him ’CSM’. Of course, he still had two promotions to go at that point, to Cadet Under Officer (addressed by staff as ‘Mr …’) and all before he had to leave at 18 …
