It doesnât appear to be a grounding of the G115 type, at the moment thereâs one buzzing about near DUX.
The one flying around at the minute is ex-Tayside Aviation and is currently decked out in âGrob Aircraftâ colours.
Wonder if itâs being used as a test platform?
Pretty sure thats âjustâ a civvie G115 and not affected by the RAF/6FTS Pause

All 6FTS Tutor flying has been paused UFN. Unfortunately Iâm not at liberty to post the reason on a public forum at this time, sorry folks.
Hopefully we should hear more mid to end of next week.

I mean, obviously there is more information floating about about the potential problem, itâs just that no one wants to tell us.
Iâm assuming that the crabs havenât just just decided to bin everything off for a giggle, or to bump up the stats for Operation Destroy Long Weekend, so thereâs obviously something that happened/got noticed at Cosford, that was serious enough to ground the Tutor fleet as a precaution.
It does seem a little pathetic to not just say what it is, as doubtless anyone who might be in a position to know/understand is being privately badgered by everyone effected, which is probably creating more work dealing with than just a simple âwe found a potential problem with X widgetâ, or âwe found a potential problem in the fatigue recording systemâŚ
This isnât the readiness stats on the Typhoon fleet.

The last bad one I saw was an oil leak that covered the canopy, but that was some time ago! Unless itâs happened again!
