Every time the Americans have intervened in Latin America it’s been costly for them.
This time might be different, but I can almost guarantee that it’ll push other LA states to work closer with China than they already are.

Part me is starting to think this is the proper start of his downfall. The American people surely can’t believe he’s the right person for the job
It’s gonna be sold as a policing operation, he’s already saying it’s been done in conjunction with law enforcement.
I’ll bet a shiny £1 that there was inside help and whoever is claiming the multi-million dollar bounty will either have left the country on the same flight or will be the next democratically elected President.

Trumpites believe that American might has been diminished and that the world needs to learn to listen to them again. Today’s actions could easily be viewed as Trump demonstrating American might overseas, and the narrative around curtailing drug & oil smuggling will be well received by his supporters.
It may make then divide between pro- & anti-Trump stronger, but I don’t think it’ll take the shine off his image enough to dent his supporters’ levels of support.

He famously said he could shoot a man in 5th avenue and not lose support.
Also the man has shown that he’s likely all over the Epstein files and a potential peadofile and his support seems unwavering (remembering that he was 50 when he was walking into teen pageant changing rooms)
