Also feel like this belongs here.
fixed it
That Right wing info bubble must be very incentivising
object permanence is usually developed before you can vote in elections
guess the water really is bad over there
The aforementioned article 5 resulted in a closer comparison to the invasion of Ukraine than 9/11
I often go out of my way to let my suggestions get sucked into right wing political stuff. Start interacting with the right posts and soon enough your whole Instagram feed is full of it. Makes for interesting viewing, seeing the posts that are being fed to MAGAts.
I quickly go back to interacting with cat videos, which make for nicer viewing.
Also this:
I can’t do it. I’ve tried. And unless there’s a damn good reason not to, I’ve removed people from my friends lists and follows who incessantly post nonsense.
I don’t have the energy to engage, and even if I did I don’t think it would help.
I can only hope that, in the US, Trump fails so hard that the blind are healed (which might help sway some UK voters away from certain lines of thinking) and that, in the UK, the current government proves successful enough to turn enough people’s opinions.
There are relative moderates both Republican and Reform fans, who saw/see those parties representing what they see as priorities without buying or wanting the more extreme or potentially hidden policies.
The US is now in a position where they have to learn the hard way, we still have hope that people can be shown a better way, even if it’s not perfect.
This is completely understandable, despite accusations that it leads to a so-called echo chamber. Trying to ignore the disinformation is hard.
I’ve also had to get rid of some American Democrats from my feeds too though. As much as I agree with a lot of what they’re saying, I go on social media to escape from reality, not be confronted by it.
“You should have never started it. You could have made a deal,” he later added.
“I could have made a deal for Ukraine,” he said. “That would have given them almost all of the land, everything, almost all of the land - and no people would have been killed, and no city would have been demolished.”
It’s extremely concerning that quotes from the president of the USA sound like the incoherent ramblings of a KS1 student
I deleted Twitter for this very reason, I consider myself a card carrying Thatcherite and I consider MAGA and Reform to be loonies on their best day.
To quote John Oliver
" Kings Get [Shizzle] done, Is it stuff you want done? Not necessarily, but they do move quick"
“You abandoned constitutional monarchy for this?”
Ironically while the references are to absolute monarchy (which is even more ironic as it was constitutional monarchy with George III) the American republic was set up modelled on the Roman republic as was the fashion of the renaissance at the times with a fad for all things Roman.
Now what happened to Romes republic?
One of my best friends is a Drumpf lover. He’s not gone as far as being the flag fanatic with Drumpf’s face on…yet. I’m just waiting to see the point in time that his vote starts to impact his life and family.
I seem to know more facts about the misinformation he used to send me. We rarely mention anything to do with Drumpf now so it’s all good.
Daily star actually reporting factual news for a change.
This man is on drugs. I’ve seen people on drugs, this man is tweaking. This is the person basically puppet mastering the US Gov. Fast forward to exactly 8:00 for a good example of how to completely fumble a question.
I’ve linked the whole video for context. The whole thing is a mess and not really worth watching as it’s right wing propaganda delivered badly. But the bit from the 8 min mark where I linked to just shows he’s talking gibberish.
Eurgh.
This video is very much NSFW, but as before, Jonathan Pie is pretty on point. The actual detail in the video is very good.
NSFW. If swearing offends you, don't watch this video.
Jobs in transportation, healthcare, manufacturing, and public safety are most likely to require drug testing. These industries prioritise safety and compliance, often due to federal regulations.
Surely those in the oval office and wider circle of enablers need testing?
IIRC, he almost lost his security clearance because he smoked marijuana on the Joe Rogan Podcast.
Military leadership culled.

And here ya go from the new FBI director….
What a nice person.
I suspect that under a huge raft of USA employment protection / contract specifications, this is illegal. Can’t take instructions from another “agency” leading to potential dismissal.

My answer would be:
“Please confirm & provide details where necessary, that you hold the appropriate security clearances to advise you if I have been working on classified projects or not.”
