Heard it was being delayed, but that was a week ago
Yep, same here! Heard it was delayed, but nothing heard since.
Not heard anything since the original brief at the beginning of July.
But the sharepoiunt announcement came out last week telling us its coming on the 4thâŚ
Wt fudge is going on.
Fudge is being served and a can kicking exercise is in progress.
Basically whatâs happened (from what Iâve gathered) is the people making the changes, notified the air cadet management board of them with plenty notice. ACMB didnât look at the changes till after the sharepoint announcement (clearly they didnât like the changes) so have put their foot down and the changes are now delayed indefinitely until they make their mind up. I wouldnât foresee any major changes until the new financial year in AprilâŚ
It would be funny if it werenât so predictable in itâs ineptitude.
At this point it seems more like a poorly written Greek tragedy
Or a well written comedyâŚ
So I wasnât aware there were changes until I found out here. This was then backed up by an official announcement that there would be changes, and they would tell us what they were on the 4th.
Now we donât know what the changes were or if theyâll happen, and we donât have any idea if theyâll still happen and I wouldnât have known anything unless I read this forum.
Exactly the same scenario for me. I know Iâve complained about poor comms in this org several times before, but this example really does take the biscuit.
An update has just been added to Sharepoint.
TLDR, no updates until the end of the month, so carry on as you were before!
What a Comms cluster
The general synopsis being that they didnât have consent to make the changes, so now theyâre waiting until they actually have the necessary consent to do so.
Cluster. Absolute cluster.
How did nobody think to check for those inconsistencies before you know⌠putting an announcement out?
Thatâs pretty much how I see it as well!
The update seems to be written in corporate, âbackâ covering, gibberish so thanks for translating!
What a mess of a policy implementation, yet again.
I really think we need our own branch of Led by Donkeys.
Lead by Ducklings?
Wander around just flapping & going Quack?
