They could also double up as a useful bandage for first aid training

Well, that must have come in handy… A bit like carrying a Hawaiian shirt in an open boat expedition to the Arctic.

Sounds like the old days when Officers would wear a wedgewood shirt and tie with DPM trousers and smock and an SD Cap

Yep, of the many bits at kit I’ve wanted at Nijmegen, I can safely say that a blue wooly pulley was not one of them.

At Nijmegen I always found a T-shirt under a warm weather MTP 95 Shirt to still be too hot. Anyone who wants to wear a wooly pulley in the height of the Dutch summer surely is an unusual individual

It might be as useful as a barber shop on the steps of the guillotine …
