Whoever their media people are theyâve seen an opportunity & rightly exploited it -
Particularly good skills as September is the main new recruit month.

Also, to add insult to injury, theyâve got some fantastic drone shots over the event too taken by one of their SIs.
Seems an obvious oversight.
Also too much finger pointing for my liking. Requires more of a full hand chopping motion.
2 activities we canât do in 1 weekend and 1 post. They are trolling us now.
Itâs utterly embarrassing really.
Three.
You missed âgo outside in Augustâ.
Well, there is one very big reason I can think of.
Better get some rubber covers as they could have someones eyes out with those fingers
I did specify OBJECTIVE reasonsâŚ
Email sent.
Erm you mean âgo outsideâŚâ I think
The cars in the photos look like they are travelling at a very low speed, and as we all know, cars marshalled by air cadets usually traverse the field car parks at 90mph at least.
When I say we all know, what I mean is one person thinks this to be the case.
âŚand often âdriverlessâ and so control of the vehicle is 100% the responsibility of the âChildrenâ being used, whereas when the ACF do it, they insist that qualified drivers, who are correctly insured on the vehicle are in full control of the vehicle at all timesâŚ
Hang onâŚI think Iâve worked this outâŚthatâs me isnât it? Donât be shy, use my name I hope you know by now that I am up for direct conversations and donât need folk to talk around issues. Direct but respectful always welcomed.
@Cab; I indicated on another thread that I would gladly take up your kind offer of a âjob shadowâ day.
A lot of people would love to watch the live stream and the reality that you like most are far in too deep. Number 22 Group OC is up there as one of the hardest and varied jobs within defence. When you look at what areas fall under the remit including Cranwell, Halton and RAFAC as well as all the specialist training Wings and Squdrons.
If I was a parent of a cadet rather than a CFAV I would rather the subs i am paying allow my cadet to experience a more fun hobby than car parking. Yes it might be âcommunityâ but even if itâs a couple of times a year personally I would be wondering what I am paying for. The community aspect falls within the DofE remit and can be established with regular attendance there rather than one offs that can be supplemented by finding sustainable fundraising plans. Some people think you just need to keep getting x amount in unless you need a big outlay you really shouldnât need much above subs
Have you read all the previous comments about participation, leadership, teamwork, etc, etc?? Clearly not.
Never had a complaint from parents - & also, the sign-ups were also maxâd out, we could rarely take all those who put their names down.
I believe I am correct in stating that CFAV whilst travelling to and from and covered by RAFAC insurance, so as I regularly ride a motor bike to my cadet unit and other activities, at what point in time is someone going to state the Risk is unacceptable for the RAFAC, only the other weekend 5 motorcyclist where killed in one county in one day.
