Is that just todayās list? Between 80-90 is the figure Iāve heard from someone this evening.
Around 140 total nationally.
W&W running a townhall with the RC about whatās going on week after next. I make no attempt to minimise what uitterly incompetent nonense the whole situation is*, but fair play to HQ and Rgns for their comms.
Much better than their standard reputation, I was a cadet for the Great Implosion Of SW Region, but Iāve heard comms there were terribleā¦

I think I need to stick up for RFCA here.
the issue isnāt RFCA who have been equally screwed over.
The issue is the MoD ViVO contractor.
The CAA for my building & I were pulling our hair out trying to get the VIVO contractor to actually comply & turn up at the time they said.
The issue is caused by VIVO not by RFCA.

I have to point out that itās taken RFCA 2 weeks to identify a second tranche of required closures.
They arenāt completely innocent. All it needed was a simple spreadsheet tracking sites and dates of inspections and regular works and they could have been ahead of this instead of being caught out.
Or a software solution.

Isnāt Vivo (and the other companies) a contractor on behalf of RFCA, not MoD.
Weāre under Vivo for our married quarter, absolutely shower of 
but on the plus side, we have a gas safety check every 9mths instead of the required 12 so weāll never be out of date 
But they are only going on what VIVO is telling them 
RFCA holding records saying what has been done, only finding out that this is incorrect when certificates have been received.
2 Weeks since the initial stand down came out.
The question is for these 21 was any work required or was it just sharing of evidence of compliance?
Iāve not seen the socials recently, but has anyone spoke to Alfie at FYB? Heās normally quite good at providing the right level of annoyance to get things moving.

Annoyingly, my main unit is under contract with VIVO anyways (perks of being by a military base, I guess)ā¦so youād think we would have been unscathed by this. Spent half my afternoon in between work trying to get somewhere with it, had to call a contact at the place we parade from to see if thereās anything they can do, but what with it being a Friday that the news hit, everyone was already starting to go off home sadly.
This is just an a way they have to attempt to absolve themselves for not managing the contract though.
This isnāt like an MOT where you have to wait until a specific window. If youāre chasing it so last minute that you lapsed while chasing or just made the assumption everything was fine in the absence of evidence, then thatās something that you are accountable for.
The contract change last year /18 months ago.
RFCA used a different contractor but was forced to use VIVO. It also prevents CAAs being used as handymen to fix door handles & change light bulbs etc
