SNCO's daughter

So…

What was the outcome? Did Wing leap into action?

Yeah, don’t keep us hanging!

I’ll wager a shilling that nothing was done by the CoC, SNCO’s kid did her stuff in ATC uniform (probably with CI’s son too) and Sqn Cdr is free to carry on as normal!

And Zinggy will probably end up taking the blame for it all!

Well I wasnt there as I went home to march with my old man however I have seen photos on the Sqn Faceache page and…

The SNCO’s daughter was in uniform as was the CI’s son just make it so much better two Cadets were also in No 1’s…

I almost claim my shillings! Just need to see if Zinggy carries the can for this!

This GMG there are so many cadets that ask about No1s on the ‘You know you’ve been an Air Cadet Too Long’ FB page, and many of them would love to be able to wear the smartest uniform that our parent service has. Yet for very understandable logistics reason this is limited to Cadets in certain situations (not rank) where they are in high exposure positions LLC and Graduate JL will be exposed to several high ranking/influential individuals and this presents an d excellent picture of the ACO.

When OC 1 allows 2 cadets on a unit to wear NO 1s it can cause friction with the other cadets on the same unit, and those on unit 2 run by OC 2 who follows the regulations and isn’t running their own train set…

Brilliant. Hope you forwarded a link to Wing?

I hope they have ‘addressed’ the situation?

they have - Zingy is out on his BACKSIDE. thats standrd practice: the ‘troublemaker’ gets the blame…

Fella, I never said I believed that or thought that ACO SNCOs are 2nd class citizens. What I said was that in the ACO SNCOs are viewed as 2nd class citizens/poor relations to the VRT by a signifigant number of VRT officers. Not all I hasten to add.[/quote]

Are you purposely dropping F bombs?

If he is out, I definitely claim my shillings!!

He’d only be out if he made himself.
Here is more a case of going back ignoring what has happened and looking to move elsewhere in the meantime.

“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”

Evil is a strong word in this instance, but I completely disagree chap - if the bloke has gone to the lengths of telling the Wing Staff (and rightly so I hasten to add) and he has been ‘moved on’ (which he has) it is in his interests as well of those of the ACO that some action is taken against the offending OC. If not, then what was the point?

A very apt use of one of my signature comments, thank you, I hadn’t noticed its relevance to this post!

I agree with you. Whether he wants people’s sympathy or not, I feel very sorry for Zinggy and I think many others do too; he’s done pretty much all he can. It’s the supposedly ‘good men’ further up the chain, at every level, doing nothing that grips me.

Well I went back to the Sqn last night after being told things will change for the better ect but what do I find when I get there? While I have been away the underage daughter has been donning a Cadet uniform to be passed off as a band member while the band preformed in the town xmas lights switch on and is due to play again next week so to me nothing has changed!

Hey zinggy mate, sorry to hear that.
Clear out and get to a better Sqn. Your skills would be better employed at a Sqn that appreciates your professionalism
Good luck pal.

Time to up the ante? I know a few people on here wouldn’t mind contacting the Regional Cmdt directly!

Good point!

Wouldn’t it be nice to think that people like Regional Commandants and HQAC staff look at this site anyway in order to gauge the groundswell of opinion across their organisation and consider comments made on issues?

Ah, Utopia!
