The Kings Commendation for Bravery, it uses the MID emblem either on an appropriate medal or after any medals on a ribbon bar.
It’s open to anyone military or civil for actions of bravery not in the presence of the enemy, it replaced the Kings Commendation for Brave Conduct. I only know they exist because a bloke I used to work with had one from the Kings Cross fire.
That led me down a rabbit hole.
I feel that perhaps we, as an organisation, should recognise Cdt Ernest William Meaby.

I saw a reply on the Astra Hub to a suggestion of a new medal, and it basically said “No. We have enough ways of recognising you”.
And higher pay.
