Quick Questions…

I had a similar issue.

Ask your Wing Bader Officer to remove and re-add your appointment - that sorted it for me

So I removed my personal account, then re added my OC account and it allowed it. Then re added my personal account and it now has all 3 back. Not sure on the notifications/seeing emails being fixed though.

Bizarre, the system is a mess. I can’t really help you to be honest if that’s how buggy it’s got!

Yep that will be the workflow unassigning it.
Will need your bader poc to assign it again.

You should only be adding 1 account to the Outlook Mobile App, and this is your personal account.

This personal account will have access to the role mailbox, which in Microsoft terms is a shared mailbox, and you can then add this within the app, details here - Add a shared mailbox to Outlook mobile - Microsoft Support

Except I’ve tried and I can’t. But I can add it as a separate account which seems to be working again…

I’ve only ever run mine on mobile as separate accounts.

Isn’t this in options on the app & part of phone notifications rather than bader specific? You might need to go through settings.

Nope, i did check that too. Some of it was notification based, but it was also the fact that some emails simply did not appear in the inbox on my phone but they did on my laptop.

We had this before with the OC account specifically.

It seems that the “Priority Inbox” is turned on for RAFAC accounts, but will just randomly turn on one day.

For us, we had to disable the priority inbox on both the desktop (browser, for me) and mobile app. This then solved the issue and all notifications/emails were received.

Thank you!

Never thought I’d see the day that RAFAC would outsource its IT Helpdesk to Peru…

Peru is more efficient than many things within RAFAC…

Given the way Peru works, that takes some serious doing.

Cheers, all sorted.
Apart from losing all my permissions :person_facepalming:

QQ: Anyone familiar with laws and rules surrounding warranties?

Bought a pair of Shokz headphones in the UK just under a year ago, but now the battery won’t hold charge. Shokz have accepted the warranty claim.

However, they are now claiming that they won’t send warrant replacements to Peru and are insistent that I provide them with a European or North American address for shipping. The implied message being that I will need to pay for the onward postage, which ultimately will make it not worth my while due to cost (and the likelihood that they don’t make it here anyhow).

How can I best pursue this issue? I feel like moving the claim to being under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 for faulty goods and claiming a (at least) partial refund may work, but I’m not familiar with the territory.

I’m not, but I imagine there must be some terms and conditions for the warranty somewhere?

Under consumer law your redress is with the retailer. Unless they specifically say they have an international warranty or other extras such as free warranty returns the onus is on the consumer to return the goods to the place of purchase.

If that’s online (their web store) it will be UK outlet/distributor/concession.

TL:DR unless their terms say WW warranty you probably have to return at your expense.

Anyone know why on the MyPay app on defence gateway why I would have 2 entries, in 2 different paid ranks? One as a paid Flt lt and one as a paid Fg off. Paid as a Fg Off for an expedition, but as a Flt lt for an AT activity? Even though the rates look the same?

It’s the mechanism within JPA for paying Substantive or Acting rank. Not sure why the rates are the same though. That does seem odd. Have you been paid both this year?

But I don’t know why I’d get paid 1 rate for 1, and 1 for the other. There doesn’t seem to be any reason or logic to it, even though the rates are the same.

No, this is the only time I’ve claimed VA as we’ve basically made it too hard to even try. Turns out the region has underspent massively (shock horror) and so we were encouraged to put in claims for anything, regardless of their stupid CACE process so I whacked anything I could in for the past year since April.
