Preparing to Return to F2F Activity... Again/Still

When you say flying, you mean to the beach right?

They should have been influencers, and gone to Dubai

Anyone taking bets on when cadet activity will be allowed to resume on this “roadmap” out of lockdown… and announcements tomorrow?

I seriously hope that when we can get back that we can offer a meaningful program without too much difficulty.

I think I am the only staff member to not have had a first jab yet too… So feeling quietly confident!

Yeah, I saw this. Hoping it’s a green light to at least AT / day walks.

Maybe we should await for the roadmap to be announced first.

It seems like he’s determined that once something opens, it doesn’t close again, so the data is key, rather than dates.

I don’t see us being included in phase one of open the schools.

I think just having a date for returning would give everyone something to look forward to…

Checking back on announcements etc it looks like we sent the message to parents on the 17th March saying we were closed - I wonder if we will get back to the squadron before it is a full year of closure…

Doubt it

I’m just waiting to see if schools are reopening. Our recruits have been doing well with VPNs but I’d love to get some face to face

I think caution is going to or should be the watch word. Last year we had dates and many of the idiots saw these as dates from not see how it goes and then do it. Which probably contributed to the shenanigans of the last 4/5 months.

Personally unless schools are back normally sans masks etc, I’m not particularly relishing being at the sqn in a mask and all that goes with it. I’ve had enough of it at work and going to the shops. I can put with it at work as I get paid to do it and going to the shops because you have to if you want something from the shops.

I think some staff will now wait until they’ve had the vaccine. I would be Ok if one of my team said they’re delaying for that reason.

For the Cadets, I’d want to see if there’s an uptick in cases once they are back at school, even if it means we return a bit later.

But we might come under pressure if youth sports are allowed back before us.

I’ve personally written face to face off for this year… My family situation dictates I can be around snotty kids

Mrs Crazy can’t have any of the current vaccines and apart from an u16 in the house I am currently the only one not vaccinated. I am looking forward to seeing some of the data since the start of the rollout as there should be some decent data sets available.

Just hoping for no more major mutations but I will carry on being careful and hopefully at least be able to collect uniform from parent station and be able to get the ATF remote modules done and send the paperwork off for MOD90.

Weathers getting warmer maybe Mrs Crazy should move into the shed

Actually Bojo can say what he likes but we abide by the NYA guidelines. So if Bojo says 17 March but NYA says 01 April, we’ll go with 01 April :man_shrugging:t2:

And, TBH, how many will stay clear until they get their jab? I know I will…

Yeah I’ll see you all in 2022 then. Soooooo far down that list right now…

“all adults by July 31” is the new aim.

Only in England at the moment I believe.

However, if the other nations continue to get their proportion of supply as they seem to be I don’t see any reason for that not to happen in Wales, Scotland and NI too.

The BBC article says all UK adults

I actually half expect them to beat that date… The only thing that’s been nailed in this whole pandemic is the vaccine roll out.

It’s almost like the thing they have had plenty of time to plan for has gone much smoother than when they were having to wing it.
