Preparing to Return to F2F Activity... Again/Still

No they can’t. They still have to be 2m in a classroom.

Depending on your region, despite guidelines saying 1M+

Our guidance says 1m+ with face masks and no face to face seating.

I hope your not in SW as that will be rejected by the RC

Which is ironic since it’s from the guidance that he is responsible for creating

Yep. Ludicrously unfair.

Looks like we can’t transport cadets easily. But we could hire a taxi with 8 seats.

Less ironic, more moronic.

We probably couldn’t.
But they could hire one for themselves…

Just out of interest, we’re always told to use the CoC… so if region don’t follow their own advise, who do you escalate to?

If you genuinely want to escalate, I’d go with someone at HQAC. Take a pick from the list.

I flagged that post as I didn’t think publishing personal details was a good thing.

I’ve just spotted that it’s hosted on sharepoint, sorry… :ohmygod:

Publishing personal details is definitely not a good thing! You should also be a bit worried if I was just casually hosting that information publicly… :joy:
No, very much a sharepoint link!

Whilst a lot of BGA clubs are back operating they are not taking trial flights for potential new members or accepting any.

At least close to me, I contacted my nearest one which is an hour away in February about joining but couldn’t get a flight in before lockdown. Been in touch a few times since and even mentioned I would join and pay the membership for me and my child without the trial and they still said no, as did all clubs within a 90 minute travel time

They were on the junior gliding programme from the BGA too so wouldn’t hold your breath for BGA clubs willing to operate flights for cadets even if there was a policy change if they are turning away new members

Noted thanks. Together with the R Av O, I visited CGC in order to look at the basic parameters needed to have a “running permission” for ACTO35 activity. Needless to say, ACTO35 was suspended not that long afterwards; a lot of preparatory work by the R Av O (to use CGC & other BGA sites as “approved”) was wasted.

Not in Wales. School age children do not have to social distance. Only have to wear masks when SD is not possible.

Had a quick reply, nothing concrete at the moment. Maybe pending new AOC have a perusal to see how things look.

Yeah, from the Welsh guidance:

The Welsh Government has recommended the use of face coverings for all members of the public over 11 years in indoor settings in which social distancing cannot be maintained, including in schools and on school/public transport.

Random thought.

With the suggestion/requirement that Squadrons have covid-app friendly QR codes should the same apply to training facilities??

Venues such as RACs and Wing facilities for those who have them, but also external to the RAFAC bubble such as RAF stations used for shooting?

I can’t imagine RAF stations have considered QR codes but we have for our buildings so should we do the same for training locations off unit?

Yes, any external activity should have a QR code too.
Your example of shooting at a station, you would just need the AIC to create a QR code for the staff and cadets attending that activity.
They’re not necessarily per building as I think you are thinking, but also per activity!

Quick edit, at the top where you say suggestion/requirement; it is 100% a legal requirement as far as I know?
