Preparing to Return to F2F Activity... Again/Still

V7 is still extant and has the Approved Activities Matrix - at least we’ve not been told otherwise

Ah sorry I was confusing when they merged the return to face to face and the return to parade nights.

So unless I’m mistaken what we’re saying is in England pay consideration to things in the order of:

  1. Hand washing/sanitisation
  2. Cleaning venues
  3. Ventilating spaces
  4. Reducing Capacity
  5. Wearing masks

But that all of it is advisory and not mandatory?

He almost seemed to decry the inability to mandate masks, but I don’t see why we can’t? We have been without higher authority for months, well, everywhere except his facebook.

This is how I read it.

It’s a very strange position to jump from overtly cautious, incredibly high concern and rules over and above national guidance to “nothing is mandatory, do your best in this order”. It’s a good step, I just wonder how many wings and regions will apply their own spin on that and suddenly “do your best” once again becomes “you must”.

Probably a region that rhymes with ‘mouth pest’

Monmouth and guest?

Add item 6. Must wear masks in vehicles.

Monmouth doesn’t rhyme with mouth?

I thought that only applied to mod vehicles?

Poetic licence?

Anyway…

Does make you appreciate the inconsistency of pronouncing ‘outh’ in English. Mouth is nothing like youth?

Well, it says minibuses and coaches operated by defence - to me that says MT, not Sqn vehicles.

Also how I read it.

I’m surprised that this didn’t see mask wearing inside become a ‘rule of the club’, law arguably becomes irrelevant then. There are businesses out there that are requiring employees to wear masks at work despite there being no legal requirement.

Absolutely, they’ve gone out of their way to devolve the risk of SOVs to committees so they are definitely not defence!

Between the last measures and plan B this is exactly what we had.

And social media went to show that at all levels it was generally not adhered to.

Personally, I am glad to see it advised but not mandated. It brings us in line with the rest of society.

They can jog on if they try.

So if you go to a sqn and a OC has mandated the advisory if wearing masks. Most cadet huts are small so I am guessing face mask on, distancing off is a possible outcome. Glad I wasn’t the only one to miss the previous advice to remove social distancing
