All depends on where the Sqn is situated. We are on an RAF base and their covid roadmap is still stating 2m distancing and bubbles of 15 for youth activities, so that over-rides Corps policy as far as they are concerned and I play by their rules or I don’t play at all. It’s frustrating but in the grand scheme of things, it’s still workable, although not ideal.
I don’t see him filling in the box on the RA form?
And if it IS filled in, will it be uploaded to SMS?
Will SMS ever be closed noting the near miss which occurred and the risk assessment (if we ever get to see it!) was/wasn’t being followed, and what mitigating actions occured to reduce the risks in said dynamic environment.
Afterall, if we don’t recorded near misses, how will we ever learn.
The bird strike? Or something else?
Just like cadets on an exped take their coats off and as sure as anything it starts raining.
As soon as we get v7… Govt will announce social distancing.
The government are denying all knowledge of plans for an October firebreak lockdown. So that probably means it will be planned for the school holiday period.
They also denied last week that a reshuffle was coming before Christmas. Instead today we learn just how much dirt my minister has on the PM
Are you saying the PM isn’t entirely honest?!
You shock me Sir!
Will you stand by it Sir!?
Are any of them?
Update has been published
The amendment is dated 15 September, over 7 days to get onto SharePoint
Not a single change is in Yellow Highlight, what a cluster.
The only line that really matters is the one saying face coverings indoor for all activities is to remain.
For goodness sake, ditch the masks before we lose any more cadets!!!
School - back to normal
Socialising - back to normal
RAFAC - back in time!
Have I read it wrong, or is the wording poor, but v7 says if someone on a residential activity tests positive by LFT and PCR, then all persons are to isolate for 10 days. Granted this would be the case for unvaccinated (most Cadets) but double vaccinated staff would not need to if they don’t get symptoms and don’t test positive.
Is this a mistake, or poor wording?
I think it is old wording that has stayed in. U18s also don’t have to isolate if a close contact.
Of course someone might choose not to attend cadets in that situation but that is different to being ordered to.
V7 hasn’t kept up with the law. It’s a mistake.
Rafac hasn’t the power to force people to isolate unless legally they have to.
In England. Even if a close contact with a positive covid case confirmed by PCR…
Under 18s (actually 18y 6m) dont need to isolate.
Double vaccinated adults dont need to isolate.
Guidance and it is only guidance is to get a PCR test.
If PCR negative. Carry on.
If PCR positive, then you have to isolate. But your household doesnt have to, unless they develop symptoms and themselves get a PCR test showing positive.
Appreciate it means sticking head above the parapet (& the opportunity may have passed now for the event discussed) but I think anyone who has access to the event can put a comment on the authorisation tab provided the event hasn’t been completed.
Might be one way to feed back into & ensure it is on record.
Who knows perhaps the portal development team can allow a feedback tab with a one to five star rating
Do the MOD/RAF/HQAC know this? They also don’t have the power to make people wear masks etc.
Work on what’s the worst thing they can do to anyone who decides to cut their own furrough and who does that really affect.
They kinda do.
Our house our rules
Take away your main hobby that you invested so much time, love & emotion into that when ripped away with no acknowledgement of everything you’ve done over the preceding decades you decend into a deep depression as you not only lost your hobby, but contact with your friends & wider social group and made to feel isolated whilst effectively dealing with withdrawal symptoms?
Yes long term you should be okay but initially you’d be a Wreck.
