Preparing to Return to F2F Activity... Again/Still

Forgot about that fall out.

What was the final score with that?

Not 100% assume adopt normal pattern

@Farmerdan which is ironic considering it’s all they do all day every day.

I’ve ordered 4 sets of ID badges over the years and only one made to HQAC Accts without having to send copies. and not just one copy and on one occasion being accused by them of making it up as the supplier didn’t have a record of the order, despite supplying me with the badges and an receipt. The process we had to go through for badges (even though it’s not a regular thing) is a case of over adminning something for the sake of over adminning something, to IMO justify jobs.

I think chucking things at CWCs to pay for will become more of a thing.

Yep.
Incremental cost creep onto Sqns is definitely happening.

TBH.
if they just said Sqns were now 100% reliant for purchasing and funding of all badges I would be cool with that.
AS LONG AS they also delegated all badge checking and issuing rights to Sqn Cdrs… far too much having to prove to Wing and Region SMEs if little Johnny can wear his bronze wallpapering badge at present.

If a Sqn Cdr issues badge. Bosh. Done.

Dont trust Sqn Cdrs with badges… better sack us all as we sign for weapons and ammunition.!

RHQ have approved us to return

Now to provide a virtual briefing to cadets & parents and populate our evenings into SMS so we can control our bubbles via bidding.

Sadiq Khan says it’s a bad idea, so that ales it clear it is the right decision.

Probably snookers any relaxation of our residential rules but also agree right move. Whether it is enough to stop cases rising, who knows

Confident damage is done and third wave will be fully in place in a couple of weeks

Nah, the media has gone seriously ott this time around imo and made things seem worse than they are.

Yes the cases are going up but the expected uptick in hospital admissions is not following the previous trends. Hopefully this means that the vaccine is doing what it is supposed to do.

As much as I want things to open up I do however agree that delaying a couple weeks is likely the best decisions still to give more time to guarantee that the hospital admissions don’t start going up.

Worst part of the delay is that the cabinet reshuffle will also be delayed so I have to carry on working on something I know will be dropped the moment we get a new minister

I was always betting on an August 3rd (or is it 4th now?) Lockdown!

Even the RAFAC mandatory training hasn’t yet managed to break my spirit… putting back the end of restrictions just might.

I’m more worried they’ll ease too much now - if they have not already - and we end up back in full lockdown come Sept. There might also be some goalposts being shifted, the drum beat is more about cases than hospital admissions or those seriously ill.

I know I know. I’ve played by the rules all along, I see the figures. I just have covid fatigue. Not being awkward - just want to be normal again

Doubt if the ‘new’ norm will be like before :man_shrugging:t2:
