If you can find the kitting form that would be useful. I looked without much joy - I still have deficiencies and stores wouldn’t issue a deficiencies chit.
If it helps manage your expectations, I was appointed 25 March and the letter from HQAC only arrived earlier this month
Yeah that same as myself appointed on the 11th March and got my letter etc last weekend supposedly the delay was with PSTAFF being involved in finance year end which took longer than normal.
Thanks, all! Appreciate the information - I think that things have certainly sped up in regards to turnaround because of April 1 end of year. Which is positive.
Out of interest, is OASC back now or is it still Regional boards ?
I can’t help answer your question, but I hope the regional board stays.
It took too long to go through the process and then have OASC inflicted upon you - things seem to be moving much faster with the use of regional boards… As spiteful as I can be sometimes, I wouldn’t wish the ludicrous timelines involved upon anybody with OASC booking etc!
I might be wrong but I’m confident I read somewhere that regional boards were going to be the way forward
Timeline aside, I enjoyed OASC.
OASC was a good experience, but from application to commission taking 2 years is far too long…
Glad to hear that we are sticking with the boards… Maybe one day of OIC could be the OASC experience
In fairness, that’s nicely mirroring the RAF recruitment system at the moment.
Of course, then you’d get 24 weeks of training… So maybe not that close.
Not going mad then
as comparable as that might be…we are CFAVs so should be looking at comparisons with Scouts and other youth leaders rather than a commitment for a career.
I love that we have gone full circle it gives me a great sense of happiness that my hobby and occupation are both as stupid as each other.
