I don’t recall it explaining why you are considered members of the Air Force.
The important fact is the opinion that we may get less if we go onto the civil list. Be careful what you wish for……
That’s what I took from it too. TSA, with 100,000 volunteers, got one OBE on the civil list, the same number as RAFAC, as a much smaller organization, got on the military one.
Knighthood for Gareth Southgate and. Stephen Fry though
My MBE missing in the post again!
Given the people I know on that list and how long they’ve been involved, I think you’re still about 20 years away even from an AOC 22 Grp Commendation.
Isn’t the AOC22 grp commendation is what knackers them as it’s deemed to be “national recognition”
How did scouting do this time around as that’s probably a better bench mark for civil vs military lists.
Wonder why the team commendation for London and South East Region Permanent Staff team was awarded by the Air and Space Commander, and not AOC 22 like all the other RAFAC awards?
Isn’t Air and Space Commander AOC 22 boss so they got an award one step up from AOC 22 Commendation. What ever they were nominated for must have been judged to be at a higher level.
Exactly. It’s a 3* commendation rather than a 2* one.
Which make sense for a region paid staff team as normally team commendations are made three steps up from where that team sits (so submitted by first line mamager (CMdtAC) & second line manager (AOC22grp)
We’re these fellas not leading on the Space syllabus?
Wow…
Nothing else to say.
Just wow
Good example:
Royal Mail are still looking for mine!! Must’ve been in the same packaging as my Knighthood I think…
I thought knighthoods still arrived by telegram?
You just get added to a WhatsApp chat nowdays…
Probably says a lot that I thought about the Telegram messaging app before I thought you might be on about telegraphy…
Least it’s not by pigeon anymore…
