New Smoking and Drinking Policy

And how did your staff feel about you treating them like kids?

Donā€™t treat them like kits. the corps does that already.
I donā€™t stop staff drinking. Staff socialising should be away from cadets socialising.

So this, and the new policy, means that escorting staff canā€™t have a glass of wine with their meal on the outbound flight this year?

Letā€™s not forget the O18 cadets here either.

But yes.

I did get a coke in my flight to Belgium, courtesy of the Belgian air force

steady, this isnā€™t the drugs policyā€¦

I spy with my little eye something beginning withā€¦ā€¦ā€¦.

So whoā€™s seen CAC latest Twitter post regarding the IACE Dining Event at RAC Cranwell.

Looks like one empty wine glass and a half empty white wine glass on the table, but could be wrong

Saw a post & did zoom in - looked like water in the wine glassā€¦.

Must have been Ribena.

Elderflower wine.

Easily turned into wine if you have a God complex

But i wasnt thereā€¦

Hereā€™s hoping the staff AND cadets of 134 (Bedford) Sqn enjoy their champagne and canapes reception, followed by a curry and beer dinner at next weekā€™s special event.

You might want to brief the RAF photographer before he starts snapping away!!!

ā€¦ jeez youā€™re not bitter at all.

Bit strong mate - especially if the event hasnā€™t happened yet and you seem to be putting the boots in before theyā€™ve broken any rules?

I get it, the policy seems a bit strong (especially as Iā€™m not in the Corps anymore) but I would think that if youā€™re unhappy with how another squadron conducts themselves in regards to a policy, bring it up with the staff or CoC rather than open forum?

Iā€™m definitely out the loop. Whatā€™s the special event?

Our CWC are having conversations on this very topic with the powers that beā€¦will be interesting to hear the resultā€¦

Next they will be stopping the RAFAC taking part in activates and events where alcohol is sold and consumed in the sight of cadets,

Had to post this from the USA :us:

Ill text you my shopping list

Daft Q.

Can the loyal toast still be carried out, with port for adults and a vimto-style substitute for the cadets? Keeping tradition, etc, but keeping the remainder of the event Alcohol-free.

Or is everything, verboten.

Actuallyā€¦ can alcohol-free lager, etc be drunk, as it still ā€œlooksā€ like they are drinking in front if cadets?
