And how did your staff feel about you treating them like kids?
Donāt treat them like kits. the corps does that already.
I donāt stop staff drinking. Staff socialising should be away from cadets socialising.
So this, and the new policy, means that escorting staff canāt have a glass of wine with their meal on the outbound flight this year?
Letās not forget the O18 cadets here either.
But yes.
I did get a coke in my flight to Belgium, courtesy of the Belgian air force

I spy with my little eye something beginning withā¦ā¦ā¦.
So whoās seen CAC latest Twitter post regarding the IACE Dining Event at RAC Cranwell.

Hereās hoping the staff AND cadets of 134 (Bedford) Sqn enjoy their champagne and canapes reception, followed by a curry and beer dinner at next weekās special event.
You might want to brief the RAF photographer before he starts snapping away!!!
ā¦ jeez youāre not bitter at all.
Bit strong mate - especially if the event hasnāt happened yet and you seem to be putting the boots in before theyāve broken any rules?
I get it, the policy seems a bit strong (especially as Iām not in the Corps anymore) but I would think that if youāre unhappy with how another squadron conducts themselves in regards to a policy, bring it up with the staff or CoC rather than open forum?
Iām definitely out the loop. Whatās the special event?
Our CWC are having conversations on this very topic with the powers that beā¦will be interesting to hear the resultā¦
Next they will be stopping the RAFAC taking part in activates and events where alcohol is sold and consumed in the sight of cadets,
Ill text you my shopping list
Daft Q.
Can the loyal toast still be carried out, with port for adults and a vimto-style substitute for the cadets? Keeping tradition, etc, but keeping the remainder of the event Alcohol-free.
Or is everything, verboten.
Actuallyā¦ can alcohol-free lager, etc be drunk, as it still ālooksā like they are drinking in front if cadets?
