There’s a sentence in today’s update that rings true on so so many levels.
I saw that post the other day! Was pretty shocked to be honest. The amount of faff required to do what was asked is pretty crazy for volunteers. Hopefully something gets sorted and we don’t have to do that. Arguably all of our stuff is already audited though SMS. HQAC can see what parade nights we’ve been to and what events etc. Me printing that all out and sending to them isn’t an audit

I once met a FS who was quick to introduce themselves as “The Senior FS in the Wing” as if 1- its an official title and 2 - is something to be proud of
What justification was there for this self appointed title?
Longest serving FS to not reach the criteria required for WO (and was unlikely to ever do so) and thus was “THE senior FS”

I dare say that it may depend on the individual circumstances. According to HMRC, my code has “changed”, but it has changed to exactly what it was before.
…Ahhh, but the total estimated income seems to be where the problem is… £15,000.
I told them repeatedly it would be a bad idea to make me an OC. My work is too last minute to be reliably able to attend every parade night.
I’m also trouble.

Does anyone have a link for the current VA rates? Trying to work out what the tax implications would be if I claimed every day possible.

Every year I end up looking for it, because it’s the same document that lists the reimbursable amounts for re-ranking of No1 uniform.

At least there is an apology on there, but I doubt that will do much to placate anyone that ends up having to mess around with their personal finances - potential nightmare looming.
This hobby takes enough time, and now its seriously messing with other aspects of life too!
