Looks like they have left out the BTEC cadets can get through CVQO or what ever they ae called now.
The saddest figure on there is the number of Sqns, its down to 883.
Wales… A long time ago when I was a cadet.
I was more amazed that 10% of our staff are currently suspended. So you can take a good chunk out of those staff numbers!

We had a region update recently that described the region as “6 wings & 44 CCFs” so it looks like we’re back to separating it out.
i thought the term/label BAME was no longer in use as it was too broad and misleading, not to mention offensive to some?

I know it’s written right there, but this is pretty misleading . (Maybe not the right word?) All the stats are FY 24-25, as it says at the top. This stat should also be for the same period, even if the numbers don’t look great. They didn’t fudge the BTEC number, so why change this?

Also, would be useful if the staff and cadet numbers included turnover too. X CIs Y left Z joined. etc

CCFs have never formed part of Wings (they can’t) - so they will be listed separately. Doesn’t mean that Wings aren’t looking after their admin, etc. (unless you have Pillars, of course…)

Before we moved to pillars there was talk that CCF units be included under wing ATC events such as wing sports.
I think you are free to invite them if you want to - but at your discretion.
CCFs tend not to have centrally organised events they can invite the ATC to, in general, so it’s hard for them to reciprocate. And while you could ask for e.g. reduced rates for the use of sports facilities in the more traditional private school CCFs, unfortunately the government’s decision to levy 20% VAT on school fees has made it hard for schools to justify this. (Parents want external users to be charged commercial rates, to help keep down the fees.)
