And herein lies in the key question we need to answer; who’s our ambassador actually for?
Are they someone who will recruit more young people to the org, or are they someone to recruit more CFAVs and generate opportunities that may not otherwise be forthcoming.
Ideally, they’re both. But which is the priority if both isn’t feasible?
this is just an example of why the Air Cadets need to be a Loud Organisation like the ACF, with a well known ambassador (regardless of fame in RAF service or Aviation Links). If anything, bringing an ambassador in with no aviation knowledge and showing them work through the syllabus would be a good bit of PR
We need someone who really meets our motto of Venture Adventure and can help us raise funds for things like AT, and scholarships and such.
Carol Vorderman was, in all reality, a bad choice. Not inspiring to cadets, too political, and indirectly helped the case of certain National News outlets slandering us to further their “culture War” bs.
Who in their right mind would want to be an ambassador for this organisation at present? We need to get our house in order and actually have something to show off and not be embarrassed about before we start getting people to try and promote us.
At current the house is on fire, and we’re debating over how much it would cost to stop it. we need to start extinguishing it before we get an ambassador and show off the “progress” that would be made
