Dpm will still be around for several more years, was talked at the last WWO Conf.

Standard in a number of places, especially in those units who don’t deploy regularly 
And some people prefer plce webbing to the Osprey belt order or find it better for some taskings so they go for the plce kit even if it is DPM or even plain olive.
Likewise I like my NI Patrol Pack and the MTP ones are rare as, I think they were only used in small numbers by the RM.
PLCE does come in MTP now I believe.
We’re still a long way off a transition.

Fairly sure there were plenty of minor brand PLCE copycat MTP stuff even early days. Although can’t speak for the quality!

It was stupidly expensive for a while but it’s now not so bad as all the fleabay merchants are flogging Virtus.

I’ve definitely seen the Bergens in MTP, issued.
I was incredibly disappointed actually, as they were just 95pattern PLCE remakes in MTP, when other kit in the intervening years was much better, like the karrimor bags, or the side pouches on the ECM Bergen which had the better fastening system, with the compression strap lid, as opposed to the stupid zips.
I’d really not recommend any of the off brand pretend mtp stuff.
There are some really good private purchase options for molle (Osprey/Virtus compatible) from outfits like Blueforce, British Tactical and High Speed Gear but cheap it ain’t.
Never risked it for myself, although I switched to molle. I’m sure there must have been someone half decent out there though.
My Disciple battle belt and yoke were very good.
Although, I always found it odd that they sold a 6 point yoke and a belt with only 4 yoke attachment points…
Heard of that a few times.
As for transition, we’re 100% MTP, with reasonable back up stock, except for waterproofs which is a mixture.
We’re even beyond using DPM as “second set” temporary issue.

I had them on mine till I upgraded my battle belt.
Most of the aftermarket PLCE stuff is a bit dodgy, I’ve seen ‘airborne’ rigs & those with pouches sewn on to the belt, fall to bits on contact with an issue water bottle.
Molle’s different, there is some really good kit out there, and there’s enough Osprey stuff around that it’s cheap.
Just need to teach the Cadets (and staff) how to set it up, I’ve seen some horrors this year.

I made some T-bars with d-rings to take the angled straps.
This is a bit random but does anyone have a spare Osprey 4 point yoke spare for a sensible price?
